Job summary

The Shyft Group USA, Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production operations and engineers. You will interface with team members, contribute to continuous improvement, and apply strong electrical knowledge to automotive systems.

Responsibilities include reviewing technical docs, creating fabrication processes, and assisting with data collection and layout changes while adhering to lean principles. This is an on-site position with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2–3 years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• SolidWorks, AutoCad and Excel knowledge a plus.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Guide complex component fabrication or rework based on technical specifications.
• Review design info, BOM specs and process sheets; advise engineering and manufacturing.
• Resolve manufacturing issues and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Create and modify fabrication process sheets and drawings.
• Manage CAD models, flat patterns and nests for fabricated components.
• Assist engineering in data collection such as time and cycle studies.
