Job summary

The Manufacturing Technician at Aebi Schmidt Group will support production operations and engineers by interfacing with teams, solving problems, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Electrical knowledge and hands-on skills are essential for 12-volt automotive systems.

Role requires attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork to drive lean manufacturing and standardized work across production lines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• SolidWorks, AutoCad, and Excel a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Guide complex component fabrication or rework to spec.
• Review technical docs and provide guidance to engineering/manufacturing.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Create and modify fabrication process sheets and drawings.
• Manage CAD models, flat patterns, and nests for components.
• Assist in data collection such as time and cycle studies.
• Modify plant layouts for new lines or changes.
• Write clear, effective work instructions.
• Apply electrical knowledge of automotive 12-volt systems and circuits.
• Install automotive electrical components accurately.
• Adhere to industry quality standards for electrical systems.
• Use fixture tools in manufacturing and assembly.
• Demonstrate on-the-spot problem-solving and initiative.
• Develop standardized work instructions and grow skillset.
