Job summary

Actalent in Olathe, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to apply electrical engineering within Manufacturing Engineering to support electronic and electromechanical product manufacturing. You will develop processes, resolve production issues, and lead new product introductions into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, new product introduction (NPI), and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with GD&T, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Testability (DFT).
• Aerospace and/or defense manufacturing experience preferred.
• This position requires use of information which is subject to ITAR; U.S. person as defined by ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and transition of new electronic and electromechanical products into manufacturing.
• Provide electrical engineering support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing, test, and product-related issues.
• Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Design and implement manufacturing tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, routings, process specifications, and SOPs.
• Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and field issues.
• Conduct manufacturing process risk assessments, including PFMEA, and support Design FMEA activities as required.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve product manufacturability, testability, reliability, and producibility.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Analyze manufacturing data and process performance to identify trends and implement sustainable improvements.
• Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering technical owner for assigned products, value streams, or manufacturing processes.
