Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Pay Range: $36-42.50
Primary Responsibilities:
- Determine electrical manufacturing methods for hardware and ensure process availability.
- Create manufacturing assembly documentation, develop concept tools, and provide technical assistance to assemble high-quality, high-engineered hardware for Life support and Thermal control applications, as well as to external suppliers.
- Support failure investigations, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and manage the disposition of non-conforming hardware, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and document the sequence of complex operations and procedures for fabrication, disassembly/assembly, and repairs, optimizing efficiency and performance.
- Ensure processes and procedures comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards and quality requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce costs and enhance product quality.
- Perform cost estimates, adhere to schedules, and draft procedures and policies.
- Review drawings and concepts to resolve producibility concerns and recommend technological improvements.
- Collaborate effectively within an integrated product development team and design environment.
- Present to senior management, participate in initiatives like ACE, Process Certification, Manufacturing Process Reviews, Lean Manufacturing, and EH&S projects.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively within teams and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modeling or design tools such as Creo; background in electrical design or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, IPC-J-STD-001E/ES, NASA standards (STD-8739.1, 8739.4), and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems like Solumina.
- This position is considered sensitive under NASA guidelines; candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing as per NASA regulations.
