Our Electrical Manager plays a vital role within the company and will contribute to the overall success and improved operations within Continental Cement. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. They manage a team of electricians, control budgets, and ensure plant compliance.
• Monitor electrical conditions through preventative maintenance and non-systematic inspections required by equipment stoppages, daily incidents, and pending turnarounds.
• Responsible for ensuring that all the plant electrical systems conform to applicable codes.
• Coordinates the planning and scheduling of all electrical projects throughout the year and assists in the development of the yearly department budget, management, and follow-up once approved.
• Record and analyze data, initiating appropriate work orders when warranted.
• Initiate the work directly performed by the execution group.
• Responsible for optimizing and maintaining electrical components for plant operation, promoting proactive improvement.
• Responsible for optimizing and maintaining instruments, ensuring proper utilization and reliability.
• Maintain plant electrical standards.
• Promote new upgrades and features to assist plant performance.
• Develop and maintain plant reports.
• Design, monitor, and actively act upon preventative maintenance programs.
• Initiate, authorize, and schedule routine contract work and ensure administrative functions for cost control, such as providing scope of work to vendors, approving purchase requisitions, and maintaining a cost control spreadsheet for budget purposes.
• Perform follow-up inspections post-repair or new installations of equipment.
• Ensure conformance with Automation, IT, and corporate guidelines.
• Provide technical expertise in specific areas of the cement plant, communicating effectively across levels.
• Ensure entering of new equipment numbers and update equipment parts catalog.
• Participate in budgeting, advising on planning and scheduling major electrical activities.
• Utilize ‘Maximo’ to manage activities and generate maintenance KPIs, publishing and analyzing them monthly to suggest performance improvements.
• Ensure proactive electrical analysis is present at process, coordination, and reliability meetings.
• Remain active and knowledgeable in current safety regulations, promoting overall plant safety.
