Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the night shift in Lexington, OH. The role focuses on installing, upgrading, and maintaining electrical systems, including three-phase power distribution and PLCs, with a rotating 3-4 day schedule.

You will perform preventive maintenance, work with contractors as needed, and ensure safety compliance with NEC/OSHA/NFPA standards. The position offers strong employee ownership and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
• Solid technical/mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, modify, and maintain electrical systems including 480V motors and PLCs.
• Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as motors and relays.
• Coordinate with external contractors as needed.
• Model and comply with electrical safety rules and industry regulations.
• Follow NEC, OSHA, NFPA and related regulations.

The Role

From machine operators to maintenance technicians to quality inspectors, our teams help protect what matters most—making everyday life safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

Schedule: Work only 15 days per month with our unique rotating 3-4 day schedule

• B – Night Shift: 5:00pm - 5:00am (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & alternating Saturdays)

What You'll Do

• Installing, upgrading, modifying, and working on various types of electrical systems, including three-phase power distribution, 480V three-phase motors with variable frequency drive configurations, AC/DC drives/ motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems
• Perform repair or replacement of faulty electrical elements of equipment, including motors, relays, and switches
• Identify when an external contractor/vendor is needed, and work in collaboration with the contractor/vendor to complete work
• Model, implement, and comply with electrical safety rules and related industry regulations
• Comply with NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and other industry regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years electrical maintenance experience.
• Work schedule flexibility includes 12 hour shifts and some weekends with possibility of an on-call status.
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Wages ranging up to$27.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Additional $2.50 per hournight shift differential.
