Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician for the night shift at our Lexington, Ohio facility. This full-time indirect labor position focuses on ensuring product quality through visual inspection, basic tests, and adherence to lab procedures.

You will work 12-hour night shifts, perform color evaluations, operate testing equipment, maintain proper sampling and documentation, and follow BRC/GC standards to protect product safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Identify visual and physical defects in products.
• Perform visual product checks including color evaluation.
• Understand physical tests and testing equipment.
• Use lab equipment to perform physical testing.
• Follow equipment procedures and work instructions.
• Understand customer requirements and specifications.
• Fill out paperwork and file appropriately.
• Manage retain samples and filing requirements.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Comply with BRC/GC Standards and company policies.

The Role

From machine operators to maintenance technicians to quality inspectors, our teams help protect what matters most—making everyday life safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

Schedule: Work only 15 days per month with our unique rotating 3-4 day schedule

What You'll Do

• Understands visual and physical defects of products.

• Comply with all safety BRCGC Standards and Company Policies and Procedures.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of plastic extrusion experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Wages ranging from $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Additional $2.50 per hournight shift differential.
