A.O. Smith in Haltom City, TX is seeking a maintenance technician to sustain production by ensuring equipment reliability and reducing downtime.

You will perform preventative maintenance on injection molding equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and assist with new equipment installations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of related experience in plastics/molding, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience; injection molding/plastic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to access overhead structures and work in tight spaces.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines, chillers, dryers, grinders, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential problems and address them.
• Assist with installation and relocation of equipment.
• Observe safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment issues and provide expert support.
