Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for Weatherford, OK, on a contract-to-hire basis. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical issues, install and upgrade systems, and ensure NEC compliance while prioritizing safety and reliability.

The role operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday, in an industrial setting with hands-on use of diagnostic tools and motors. Candidates should have strong PLC and hydraulics experience and be comfortable with 480V systems.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, circuits, motors, and panels to identify hazards or defects before they cause failures.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices to identify the root cause of issues.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, breakers, components, and related electrical equipment to restore proper system operation.
• Install new electrical systems, conduits, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Upgrade existing electrical systems and components to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
• Test the performance of electrical systems and components to verify they operate efficiently and meet required specifications.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to address electrical issues that affect production or facility operations.
• Apply safe work practices at all times and follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience, typically 35+ years, as a maintenance electrician in industrial or commercial environments.

• Deep knowledge of electrical systems operating at 120v480v three-phase.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, including the ability to diagnose complex issues using diagnostic equipment.

• Hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of motors, circuits, panels, and related electrical components.

• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and understanding of motor controls.

• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.

• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

• Solid mechanical aptitude to support maintenance work involving electrical and mechanical systems.

• Experience working with hydraulics in a maintenance setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician supporting industrial or commercial facilities.

• Experience working on both electrical and mechanical systems in an integrated maintenance environment.

• Familiarity with structured preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation practices.

• Comfort working with 480v three-phase power systems in a safe and controlled manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
