Responsibilities

STARTING RATE: $30/hr; must have 3 years experience in Industrial Maintenance. UP TO $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various equipment and systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role requires a versatile skill set, including work on machinery such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Electrical Work: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Mechanical Work: Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including bearings, gearboxes, belts, and other components.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding, brazing, and metal fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair and modification.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and participate in safety training and audits.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, logs, and manuals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other technicians, engineers, and production staff; provide guidance and training to junior technicians.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or industrial setting, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, and environmental factors.
  • Shift work including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call for emergencies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in industrial maintenance, with strong background in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, manuals; knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, automation.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, journeyman electrician) are desirable.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
