Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Morenci is seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance to oversee safe, efficient operation of a maintenance unit at our Morenci copper mining complex. You will supervise staff, implement production plans, and review performance while ensuring safety/compliance standards are met.

The role requires 5 years of supervisory experience or a Bachelor’s in mining-related discipline with internship experience, with on-site responsibilities and a 24/7 operation mindset.

Qualifications

• Five years of related operational experience including supervisory or lead experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one internship in mining/industrial environment including supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient operation of an assigned maintenance work unit.
• Assign, supervise, and review staff work and ensure production plans meet schedules.
• Inspect progress, identify problems, and direct corrective actions; manage inventories and purchases.
