Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. Morenci, located in Arizona, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support design and project execution at the Morenci copper mining complex.

You will assist in engineering projects, review and develop recommendations, and participate in site construction and modifications. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of engineering principles, strong analytical and safety focus, with advanced degrees or PE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; no experience required.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing technical advice for designated engineering projects at the assigned site.
• Assist in reviewing, investigating and developing recommendations for engineering projects.
• Participate in small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
• Manage contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relevant to the area.
• Perform other duties as required.
