Job summary

O-I Auburn facility in the Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking an Electronic Technician to operate and maintain glassware inspection systems and related automation. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, monitor performance, and support robotics and PLC-driven systems.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and the capacity to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Electrical Technology or 3 years experience in an Industrial Electrician or similar position.
• NY State Certified Apprenticeship preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair complete systems including vision systems and machine controls.
• Repair electrical or electronic equipment and components.
• Monitor inspection machine performance and adjust as needed
