Job summary
ASARCO LLC seeks a Superintendent Electrical (Fixed Plant) to lead electrical, instrumentation, and process control maintenance for the Ray Fixed Plant. You will coach supervisors and craftspeople to safely maximize equipment reliability and plant availability while aligning with production objectives.
The role requires leading a high-performing team, coordinating with Operations, Reliability, Engineering, and Planning, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
- 7+ years electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial/mining.
- 3+ years leadership supervising maintenance personnel.
- Experience with high-voltage power systems and industrial controls.
- Experience leading shutdowns and coordinating contractors.
- Strong PLC and industrial control systems knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety leadership and ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Lead, coach, and develop Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisors.
- Plan, schedule, and execute electrical maintenance for maximum equipment availability.
- Coordinate major shutdowns, outages, and capital projects.
- Develop maintenance strategies with Operations, Reliability, and Engineering teams.
- Review failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor KPIs, maintenance costs, and schedule compliance.
