Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Shift Manager Maintenance (Electrical) to lead craft technicians and oversee critical plant electrical, control, and power systems. You will act as the primary technical expert during outages and coordinate maintenance for high voltage equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, complex troubleshooting, and frontline leadership in a high-hazard environment with opportunities to drive reliability and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Electrical/Electronics experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise craft technicians across HV, electronics, motor repair, and HVAC/combustion groups.
• Act as escalation authority during downtime events and major outages.
• Oversee maintenance and switching for substations up to 138kV.
• Guide diagnostics on motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, cranes, and instrumentation.
• Enforce NFPA 70E, LOTO, arc-flash safety procedures.
• Coach upskilling of tradespeople for high-precision work.
