Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Coatesville, PA seeks a Shift Manager Maintenance (Electrical) to lead on-site maintenance and coordinate specialized trade crews responsible for electrical, control, and power distribution systems.

You will supervise High Voltage, Industrial Electronics, Motor Repair, and Plant HVAC/Combustion teams, ensure safe operations, and act as escalation during outages. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and strict NFPA 70E/LOTO adherence to maintain zero-incident operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and supervisory experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Preferred qualifications include a BSEE or EET with 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting in heavy manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Associated degrees or apprenticeship programs in electrical/electronics technology are valued.
• 5+ years hands-on industrial electrical/electronics troubleshooting with至少2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise specialized craft technicians and shop personnel across High Voltage, Industrial Electronics, Motor Repair, and Plant HVAC/Combustion groups.
• Serve as primary technical SME and escalation authority during downtime events and major outages.
• Oversee operations, maintenance, and switching for substations up to 138kV and major distribution feeders.
• Guide diagnostics and repairs on motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, crane remote systems, and process instrumentation.
• Enforce NFPA 70E, LOTO, arc-flash rules, and high-voltage safety to sustain zero-incident operations.
• Coach and upskill craftspeople with tools, training, and technical guidance.
