Job summary

Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide primary electrical support for the Steel Division, including PLCs and process equipment.

You will develop standards, review drawings, and manage documentation for production facilities while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. The role requires a bachelor's in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with related experience; business-level Japanese is recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or six years of related experience.
• Business level Japanese skills are recommended for communication with engineers and translation of materials.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains electrical standards for Steel Division facilities.
• Communicates standards to contractors and TAI personnel on electrical installation and repair.
• Assists in review and approval of drawings for new equipment and facilities.
• Update and archive electrical prints, PLC programs and operator interface software for production documentation.
• Undertake electrical and mechanical PPM, inspection testing, commissioning and basic repairs.
• Modify controls to improve process control, reliability, safety and OSHA compliance.
• Assist in designing preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
• Assist maintenance in troubleshooting electrical problems and nondestructive testing.
