Job summary

Class Produce Group in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition. The role requires electrical experience and the ability to troubleshoot a range of equipment in a fast-paced food processing facility.

You will inspect and service conveyors, mixers, and packaging gear, read blueprints and manuals, and perform preventive maintenance while supporting continuous production and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in an industrial maintenance role in a processing environment.
• Must have electrical experience and ability to troubleshoot electronic components.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to access or remove defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing, filling and packaging equipment.
• Install, move, and relocate machinery according to blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
