Job summary

NOW Foods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the weekend E shift (6:00pm - 6:30am, Fri-Sun) to repair and maintain packaging and process equipment in a fast-paced facility. You will troubleshoot, fabricate components, and assist engineering with new installations while mentoring less experienced mechanics.

Required are an AA or equivalent plus 2+ years related experience, or 5+ years in the field; knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems, lock-out/tag-out, and safety practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a minimum of two years related experience or five years related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, OSHA standards, cGMPs, lock-out/tag-out.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, lubricate and troubleshoot complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery and equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance per CMMS.
• Assist in installation of new equipment and work from drawings or instructions.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety and cGMP compliance and maintain clean, organized shop areas.
