Electrical Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

PrideStaff is working with a well-known manufacturer seeking multiple Electrical Maintenance Mechanics. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing motor control circuits, working with PLC programming, and preventive maintenance. Ideal candidates will have excellent mechanical knowledge, experience as an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic in manufacturing, and familiarity with PLC programming and Fanuc robots. This is a full-time, direct hire position based in Canton, GA.

Electrical Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & repair motor control circuits
• Install new fixtures, motors, lights, control circuits, and other electrical equipment
• Work with PLC programming & troubleshoot discrete ladder logic, forces, searching & timers
• Respond to and handle maintenance calls
• Possess basic understanding of Fanuc robots
• Troubleshoot & replace variable speed drives, temperature controllers, and chart recorders
• Operate safety electrical test equipment including ammeter, ticketer, and voltmeter
• Troubleshoot & repair low voltage control circuits & three-phase motor circuits up to 480 volts
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with new equipment installations
• Assist with other duties as required
• Follow all PPE and safety guidelines

Electrical Maintenance Mechanic Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 2+ years of industrial electrician or multi-craft technician experience
• Knowledge of 3-phase electrical circuits, motor control circuits, and PLC programming
• Certifications: forklift, aerial lift, confined spaces, crane, fall protection, hot workers, lock-out/tag-out, pallet jack
• Knowledge of PLC & variable frequency drives, NFPA 70E
• Excellent math skills and blueprint reading experience
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed
• Knowledge of HMI programs, RSLogix 500 & 5000 software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
