Job summary

Gerdau North America in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Rolling Mill Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead electrical maintenance for the rolling mill, coordinating with mechanical maintenance to optimize reliability and uptime. You will report to the Rolling Mill Superintendent and manage standardization, troubleshooting on PLCs, drives and motors, and the preventive maintenance program across the plant.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to train and guide

Qualifications

Four year college degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred.
2+ years in industrial/manufacturing environment with maintenance/reliability exposure.
Experience maintaining/troubleshooting PLCs, drives and motors.
Knowledge of heavy machinery and related equipment in manufacturing.
Experience with high/medium voltage equipment preferred.
Ability to train and guide staff; strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Analytical computer skills; SAP or CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee routine maintenance and identify improvement opportunities in processes and production.
Coordinate standardization of processes, control standards, and work procedures.
Ensure standardization within the area of responsibility.
Lead needs assessments, audits, coaching, training, and 5S improvements.
Develop and manage the budget for the assigned area.
