Job summary

TEKsystems in Sparks, NV is seeking an entry-level Security Install Technician to wire, install, and configure access control systems, CCTV, and related equipment for clients.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot with IP networking, and work unsupervised on complex security installations while adhering to NEC and company guidelines. Training will be provided for solar/low voltage tasks and field equipment enclosures may be involved.

Qualifications

• Significant skill in Digital & Analog Camera Systems
• Must have experience with Access Control and Burglar
• Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems
• Experience with IP addressable security devices
• Must be computer literate to include advanced TCP/IP networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures per NEC and guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals.
• Use electronic test equipment to diagnose installation problems.
• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with coordinated teams.
• Install complex integrated security systems including wiring, equipment and programming of access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders and intercoms.

Description

• Willing to train anyone in solar/low voltage/electrical
• Capable of installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines.
• Can use electronic test equipment to solve complicated problems during installation.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals
• Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining coordinated working relationships.
• Ability to analyze information.
• Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs.
• This position will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
