Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Security Technician to install, test, inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage systems in a hands-on role based in Wildwood, NJ.

The position covers home automation, burglar and fire alarm installations, with duties including programming, end-user training, and on-site documentation. A strong work ethic and valid driver's license are required, with full-time onsite work and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Must have solid experience in the low voltage industry.
• Must have knowledge of trouble shooting low voltage systems.
• Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes.
• Must be able to read plans, use a variety of tools and install panels, boxes and wiring accordingly.
• OSHA 10 or higher is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Services, troubleshoots and repairs low voltage systems, wiring and devices.
• Test and Inspection of fire alarm systems
• Installation of CCTV, Security alarm and Access control systems
• Programming of systems when needed
• Educate and train end users on system operation and functionality.
• Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
• Ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Utilize our field service units (IPAD) for documentation of service a
• Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Posses a strong work ethic with attention to detail

We have a need for a low voltage Installation and Service technician with experience installing home automation, burglar and fire alarm systems. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.

Position Details

The primary role of this position is to install, test, inspect service, troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems and devices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $36.00/hr.
