Job summary

Paslin in Shelby Township, MI is seeking an Electrical Leader to guide electricians in the layout and installation of electrical components for automation tooling systems. The role combines leadership with hands-on electrical work in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will mentor a small team, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with engineering and operations to meet production schedules. Regular on-site work with occasional travel to other Paslin sites in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Qualifications

• Electrician Journeyman Card or 8+ years of electrical experience in a machine tool shop.
• Effective leadership and team-building skills. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
• Strong commitment to safety standards. Safety for Supervisor certification is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and laying out equipment per blueprints.
• Knowledge of welding, automated assembly, and electrical standards.
• Experience in tooling assembly and setup.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electricians in layout and installation of electrical components for tooling.
• Mentor and develop a team of electricians to achieve excellence.
• Optimize time, cost, and functional performance in tooling projects.
• Complete tooling assignments using drawings, specs, and manuals.
• Identify and diagnose electrical issues; implement repairs.
• Mark up drawings to reflect changes and communicate updates.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance metrics.
• Uphold company policies and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
