Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium in Los Angeles is seeking an Electrical/IT Inspector to support LAWA’s Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division on multiple projects within the Capital Improvement Program. The role requires daily inspections of electrical and IT systems, interpretation of blueprints and submittals, and detailed daily reports to track progress and issues.

Candidates must hold an ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification and provide current NFPA 70E and Cal-OSHA 30-hour

Qualifications

Electrical/IT inspection staff shall have 3 years or more experience performing electrical/IT inspections for Building Construction.
Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector
Proof of NFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years
Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years
Training & knowledge of NFPA -70, 70E, & 72.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of electrical and IT systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring code compliance and project specifications.
Review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports detailing who, what, when, where, and how to document progress and identify issues.
Verify contractor compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70, 70E, 72) and LAWA standards.
Track time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities; assist in validating progress payments.
