Job summary

CLMI Group seeks an Inspector, Electrical/IT to support LAWA’s QA & Construction Inspection across capital improvement projects. Duties include daily electrical/IT inspections, document review, and ensuring contractor compliance with NEC and LAWA standards.

The role requires ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification, NFPA 70E and Cal-OSHA 30-hour training, plus ability to work varied shifts on-site at LAX. Salary ranges reflect market levels.

Qualifications

• Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector.
• NFPA 70E training completed within the last 3 years.
• Cal-OSHA 30-hour training completed within the last 4 years.
• Experience inspecting electrical/IT systems on building construction.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, & 72 code requirements.
• Fall protection and harness training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical and IT systems on building projects for code compliance.
• Review construction documents, blueprints, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Prepare daily inspection reports with accurate documentation.
• Verify compliance with NEC, NFPA 70, 70E, 72 and LAWA standards.
• Track time-and-materials, changes, and quantities; assist with payment validation.
• Coordinate inspections with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies.
• Inspect electrical installations: underground utilities, switchgear, panels, diffusers, lighting, life-safety systems.
• Inspect IT installations: low-voltage systems, access control, cameras, cabling.
