Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced technician to design, build, and test Component Test hardware for the Lunar Lander program. You will assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies, load software, troubleshoot, and update documentation to support flight avionics and system integration in a fast-paced team environment.

Applicants should have a 2-year associate degree in electrical/electronic tech and 4+ years in electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies, with IPC/REwork certifications.

Qualifications

  • 2 year Associate degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology.
  • 4+ years of industry experience with electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Certifications: IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • PTC/CREO modelling and drafting experience.
  • Certification for Rework/MDR: IPC-7711B/7721B or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Order and track parts and materials for Component Test hardware assemblies.
  • Kit materials for Component Test hardware assemblies and organize transfers.
  • Assemble Component Test electrical and mechanical systems from drawings.
  • Build, test and rework cable assemblies.
  • Perform checkout and troubleshooting of assemblies.
  • Load software and drivers onto computers and instruments.
  • Update Component Test documentation and drawings in CREO/Windchill.
  • Support integration of flight avionics and ground support equipment.
