Job summary

Heartwell Renewables in Hastings, Nebraska seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in our renewable diesel facility. You will ensure safety and reliability by keeping systems within regulatory standards, reading blueprints, conducting loop checks, and supporting DCS/SCADA integration.

Qualifications include a technical degree and 3 years I&E experience; strong PLC/DCS knowledge; willingness

Qualifications

Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related technical field.
3 years of I&E experience in an industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (low voltage).
Proficiency in calibration and maintenance of industrial instruments.
Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), DCS platforms (Honeywell, Emerson), and safety systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical components and low voltage automation.
Test electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair wiring, motors, switches, breakers, and related components.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize failures.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards and safety regs.
Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
Troubleshoot DCS, PLC, SIS, and SCADA systems.
Follow safety policies including LOTO and confined spaces.
Assist with system upgrades and plant renovations.
