Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to support field operations in the Southwest Houston area. The role involves traveling to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems for water facilities while installing and servicing control panels, VFDs, instrumentation, and PLC/SCADA equipment.

You will work independently, communicate with customers, maintain the company truck, and be available for occasional after-hours calls.

Qualifications

Hands-on field-based electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with control panels, wiring terminations, and circuit testing.
Familiarity with PLC/SCADA and industrial networking basics.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites in the Southwest Houston area to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems for water wells, water plants, lift stations, and wastewater facilities.
Diagnose issues in control panels, wiring, instrumentation, and field communications using electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Perform safe electrical work including conduit installation, wiring terminations, and circuit testing.
Install and service control panels, VFDs, transmitters, and flowmeters per specifications and schematics.
Assist with installation, maintenance, and support of PLC and SCADA equipment and networking technologies.
Document work using mobile apps and ensure timely records; interface with customers on-site professionally.
