Job summary

Milliken’s Allen Plant is seeking a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join the manufacturing team. This role maintains equipment reliability by inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical and control problems on all equipment in accordance with plant policies.

The position rotates on a 12-hour shift (first and third). Requires a high school diploma or GED and an associate/technical degree in Electrical/E&I or Instrumentation, plus 2+ years of experience;

Qualifications

• Associate/Technical degree in Electrical fields required.
• At least two years of electrical/electronic or instrument troubleshooting in manufacturing.
• Experience reading schematics/blueprints.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Read and follow control schematics/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, tools, machines, and buildings.
• Analyze and solve electrical/electronic/control problems and assist manufacturing personnel on process-related problems.
• Ensure proper operation of all control system components including DCS and related I/O.
• Perform preventative maintenance and establish new PM activities.
• Assist with installation of machinery, machine moves and plant rearrangements.
• Continuous process improvement with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Plan, procure and document activities for electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
• Share knowledge with other technicians on DCS/instrumentation/controls.
• Follow applicable codes, safety standards, and OEM guidelines.
• Participate in plant safety program.
