Barry Callebaut is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join the Maintenance organization. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and plant infrastructure in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment on rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Formal training or at least three years of verifiable experience with instruments and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Able to troubleshoot 4-20mA transmitters and electro-pneumatic control loops and PID controllers.
• Knowledge of regulatory and industrial standards and codes.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsabilités

• Comply with safety, sanitation, and GMP policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and utilities; perform planned and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems.
• Maintain three-phase electrical systems up to 480V and equipment (motors, generators, UPS, breakers, transformers).
• Interact with industrial switch gears and control systems.
• Troubleshoot process loops and their impact on equipment operations.
• Calibrate instruments (flow, weight, pressure, temperature).
• Follow NFPA 70E and NEC on electrical work.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Communicate updates to supervision and production personnel.
• Maintain logs and records in CMMS.
• Other duties as assigned.
