Job summary

Inframark seeks an Electricial Instrumentation Technician in Burbank, CA to maintain electrical/instrumentation systems and support SCADA/HMI/PLC operations. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, install and service plant equipment, ensuring safety and reliability in a heavy industrial setting.

The role requires 2+ years in a heavy industrial environment, CWEA certification progress, and a CA driver’s license. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and wellness plans.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of Apprenticeship Program and/or Vocational Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and ability to meet risk management guidelines is required.
  • Must obtain CWEA Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Grade 1 Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical equipment malfunctions.
  • Read electrical wiring and ladder schematics.
  • Calibrate plant equipment and maintain SCADA equipment.
  • Install electrical/electronic equipment and observe safe work practices.
  • Maintain plant SCADA equipment including HMI and PLC.

Inframark is looking for an Electricial Instrumentation Technician. Salary range is $40-50/hr depending on level of experience.

Candidate must obtain a CWEA Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Grade 1 Certification.

Under the general direction of Project Manager and/or Lead Operator, this person will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair of the wastewater/water treatment plant electrical/instrumentation equipment, pump station electrical/instrumentation equipment and performs related work as required.

Education/Equivalent:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of Apprenticeship Program and/or Vocational Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and the ability to meet risk management guidelines is required.

Work Experience Needed:

  • Minimum 2 years operational experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Working experience of a 460V 3-phase systems, PLC controls, computer SCADA systems, open and close loop controls, preventive/corrective maintenance tasks, calibration of plant instrumentation.
  • Working experience with both power and control circuits.
  • Working experience to effectively read electrical wiring and ladder schematics.

Special Skills/Abilities Needed:

  • Must have knowledge of SCADA instrumentation and controls.
  • Familiarity and adherence to all environmental and safety compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work activities.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with MP2 maintenance programs.

Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs various types of electrical/electronic equipment and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical equipment malfunctions.
  • Will have the ability to react to unplanned events and emergency situations.
  • Inspect and calibrate plant equipment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment according to manufacturers’ and UW recommended Best Maintenance Practices.
  • Install various types of electrical/electronic equipment and devices and observe safe work practices.
  • Performs general administration and maintenance of plant SCADA equipment including HMI and PLC equipment.
