Job summary

City of Kalamazoo seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to manage automation, instrumentation, and electrical needs for Process Control & Electrical staff across water and wastewater sites, including the Water Reclamation Plant.

The role requires strong leadership, SCADA/PLC expertise (Rockwell/Wonderware), and a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field, with Master Electrician status preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Master Electrician License or ability to obtain within six months optional but preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in electrical, civil, and/or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automation, instrumentation, and electrical needs for Process Control & Electrical staff.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for 100+ field sites.
• Supervise staff, assign work, conduct performance reviews, and ensure policy compliance.
