Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale instrumentation and electrical capital projects in the oil and gas sector. The role oversees project execution planning, FEL governance, contracting strategy, and cross-functional cost, schedule, procurement, and payables activities.

The successful candidate will drive safety, risk management, and stakeholder briefings while ensuring timely project closeout and control of costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• 10+ years of project management experience in oil & gas or petrochemical.
• 5+ years of project management with sole accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
• Lead the FEL process, complete gate reviews, and obtain management approvals.
• Lead contracting strategy, manage contractor evaluation, bid and award process.
• Manage cost, schedule, procurement and billing/payables groups.
• Ensure safety expectations are set and met by the project team.
• Develop and manage risk management plan and project KPIs.
• Prepare and present to various levels of the company and stakeholders.
• Close out the project timely and efficiently.

Job description

Emphasis on Instrumentation and Electrical capital projects (small to mid-size projects)

Overseeing the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan

Leading the FEL process, completing gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals

Leading the Contracting Strategy effort, managing the contractor evaluation, bid and award process

Managing cost, schedule, procurement and the billing payables groups

Interviewing and approving personnel from the contractor's organization

Understanding contracts and managing contractors to maximize performance, controlling costs and minimizing claims and change orders

Setting up project facilities at site and in the contractors office

Setting safety expectations for the project and leading the team to achieve safety goals

Ensuring plant Operations and Maintenance personal are engaged and that they understand their responsibilities

Ensuring that proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive Project performance

Ensuring the accuracy of the cost estimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts

Setting up programs to manage vendors, fabricators and any required specialty contractors

Ensuring that quality processes are followed

Developing, gaining approval for and managing to project KPI's and metrics

Leading development of a risk management plan

Preparing and giving presentations to various levels of the Company and other stakeholders

Timely and efficiently closing out of the project

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering

10 or more years of project management experience working in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry

5 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project
