Xcel Energy is seeking a Senior Operations Leader in Colorado to supervise a high‑performing, safety‑driven team across multiple functions, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operations while driving efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and strong leadership.

This hybrid role supports a flexible work model (onsite 3 days a week, Tue–Thu) and requires talent management, workforce planning, training, and collaboration with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and contribute to the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of a strong, sustainable safety culture in partnership with Safety Consultant.
• Evaluate team performance based on operational efficiency, reliability and quality metrics and take corrective action where appropriate, focusing on process adherence and data integrity.
• Operational leadership over crew effectiveness, quality and productivity; maintain presence and remove barriers to meet objectives.
• Recruit and develop staff, manage performance, and oversee training and engagement; represent the organization in bargaining unit discussions and corrective actions.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support Operations and enable crews to solve issues for customers and stakeholders.
• Oversee compliance with policies, labor agreements and regulatory standards; ensure required training and documentation.
