Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Conyers, GA seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Lead Technician to oversee maintenance of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and process controls across the paper mill.

You will lead a shift, troubleshoot issues, and mentor technicians to maximize uptime and safety. The role requires at least five years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience, strong reading of schematics, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably paper, pulp, converting, or other heavy industrial operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, motor controls, and instrumentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical and instrumentation maintenance on assigned shifts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, PLCs, drives, instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Install upgrades and participate in capital improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, LOTO procedures, and electrical safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance records in the CMMS.
• Mentor technicians and support operations to minimize downtime.
• Assist during emergencies and outages.
