Job summary

Ohio Valley Electric Corporation is seeking an experienced Maintenance ICE Technician to work in a power plant setting at Kyger Creek. You will perform skilled work on electrical equipment, emissions monitoring systems, and instrumentation controls, with emphasis on calibration, testing, and documentation.

Training and advancement opportunities are provided to progress within the ICE Technician track. The role requires a two-year technical degree in electronics or equivalent, plus hands-on

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in electronics or equivalent.
• Equivalent combination of related education and work experience in electrical systems, electronics, and/or instrumentation controls.
• Must be able to pass an examination and perform demonstrations.
• Must satisfactorily complete required training to advance to ICE Technician classification.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment including transformers and generators.
• Locate and repair defects in emissions monitoring and control systems.
• Analyze data and calibrate relays and related circuits; install documentation for calibration gas cylinders.
• Assist engineers with data for procedures, specs, and requisitions.
• Maintain test equipment and observe operation of control devices.
