Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an electrical/instrumentation CAD designer with 4+ years of industrial experience to contribute to complete project designs in a team environment. The role involves creating detailed electrical layouts, MCC schematics, and installation documents while adhering to NEC standards and company CAD drafting guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation, and familiarity with lighting and

Qualifications

Familiarity with NEC code and design standards.
Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
Ability to perform voltage drop calculations.
Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
Ability to calculate tray and conduit fill.
Ability to determine MCC loading.
Familiarity with construction bulk materials and equipment specs.
Ability to create electrical installation documents from vendor drawings.
Knowledge of work flow between disciplines.
Ability to estimate completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, and control panel layouts.
Prepare grounding, lighting, power, and instrumentation plans under supervision.
Communicate scope and design changes promptly.
Provide on-site assistance during startup.
