Job summary

TC Energy Corp. in Indiana is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Controls or Measurement Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate natural gas measurement equipment and compressor station control systems.

The role requires a self-starter with strong problem solving and communication skills, ready to work with minimal supervision across Indiana facilities and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a related industry.
• Knowledge of SWA and safe work practices.
• LOTO procedures knowledge.
• Basic engine mechanics knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, repair, and maintain compressor station, meter station, communication systems and other facilities related to the pipeline system.
• Oversee, direct, and perform tasks related to the installation, start up, and repair of measurement and regulation equipment such as meters, gauges, flow computers, transmitters, valves, regulators, and controllers.
• Perform routine and major maintenance on natural gas driven compressor units and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, operate, maintain, calibrate, and repair various types of electronic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Compile, prepare, and maintain written records related to inspections, calibrations, and gas quality analyses.
• Work closely with field personnel to schedule and route gas during maintenance or emergencies.
