Job summary

Big West Oil LLC is seeking a Construction Coordinator- Electrical & Instrumentation for our North Salt Lake Refinery to coordinate field construction activities with safety and quality in mind.

The role involves transforming engineering packages into executable work packages, coordinating with project engineering, contractors, and operations to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets while ensuring compliance with company policies and permits.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in mechanical industrial field, electrical and/or instrumentation.
• 3+ years coordinating contract work and field progress.
• 3+ years interfacing with multidisciplinary coordinators and contractors.
• 1+ year experience covering electrical work during high-work periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute capital project turnaround construction work safely.
• Convert Engineering Work Packages into Construction Work Packages.
• Lead contractor bidding, quotes, and walk-throughs.
• Ensure safe execution and budget/schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Environmental for signatures and permits.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for vendor usage and training at turnover.
• Develop construction schedules and cost estimates with project lead.
• Report progress on construction schedules.
• Participate in incident investigations and MOC processes.
