Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Electrical Installer to install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm and life-safety systems. You will work closely with customers and teammates delivering technical installation support and training.

This role emphasizes safety, quality and Convergint Quality Standards while growing through the trade program. A valid driver’s license is required and you will contribute to a collaborative field team.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
• Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
• Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety and building automation.
• Provide technical installation support and training to customers and colleagues.
• Interpret manuals and wiring diagrams and repair equipment using test instruments and hand tools.
