Job summary

Hiller is seeking an electrical technician to install and upgrade electrical components across residential and commercial sites. The role involves providing service and repair, communicating with dispatch and customers, and maintaining safety standards on every project.

You will coordinate with utility providers and stay on top of inventory and tool management. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc.. in an efficient and productive manner.
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed
• Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.
• Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers
• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.
• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experiencerequired in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers
• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.

$22 - $35 an hour
