Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician to install, upgrade and repair electrical systems in residential settings. You will work with dispatch and customers to outline options, schedule work, and ensure safe, high-quality results.

We value reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset. A High School diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and 2+ years of service or construction experience

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of service or construction experience in electrical work.
• Detail-oriented to ensure safety for coworkers and property.
• Able to work in a team and communicate with customers clearly.
• Comfortable using a tablet or smartphone for job details and maps.

• Install and/or upgrade electrical components including generators, rewires, services and panels.
• Provide electrical service or repair to homes, apartments, and businesses and present options.
• Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers on timeframes and changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and PPE usage.
• Coordinate with utility providers and local code officials for guidelines.
• Transport materials/tools and keep inventory accurate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc.. in an efficient and productive manner


• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed


• Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.


• Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers


• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.


• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.


• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times


• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.


• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.


• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.


• Must be team oriented


• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers


• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.

Additional Requirements

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


• A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.


• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule
