Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or upgrade a wide variety of electrical components such as generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc. in an efficient and productive manner.
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed, including presenting options and collecting payment for jobs completed.
• Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers.
• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and regulations, including the use of proper PPE at all times.
• Keep truck clean, stocked, and accurately inventoried.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field to ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to use a computer tablet, smartphone and read a map or follow GPS.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and approval to drive by company’s insurance carrier.
• Willingness to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on-call schedule.
