Job summary

Hiller is hiring an electrician to install and repair electrical components at customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work on-call hours. You will coordinate with dispatch and nearby utility providers while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver's license and insurance approval to drive by Company's carrier.
• Willing to work hours outside of normal schedule and on-call shift

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade electrical components (generators, rewires, panels) efficiently.
• Provide electrical service/repair to homes, apartments, and businesses, discuss options and collect payments.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors and customers about schedules and changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area to protect people and property.
• Coordinate with utility providers and local code officials to ensure guidelines.
• Transport materials/tools to job sites and track inventory.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and use proper PPE.
• Keep truck clean, stocked and inventoried.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc.. in an efficient and productive manner


• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed


• Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.


• Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers


• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.


• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.


• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times


• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.


• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.


• Must be team oriented


• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers


• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
