Job summary

Hiller in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced electrical technician to install and upgrade electrical components for residential and commercial customers. You will handle generators, rewires, services, and panels, ensuring quality work and safety.

You will coordinate with utility providers, follow OSHA standards, and keep the work truck organized. A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience is preferred, with HS diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of service or construction experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving diverse electrical service issues.
• Detail-oriented due to safety requirements in handling electrical work.
• Able to work in a team and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade a wide variety of electrical components including generators, rewires, additions, services, panels.
• Provide electrical service and repair to homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Coordinate with utility providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and use of PPE at all times.
• Keep truck clean, stocked, and accurately inventoried.

Job Responsibilities

Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc..

Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses.

Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.

Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times.

Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience preferred in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Must be highly detail‑oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers.

Education/Certification Requirements

• TN State/LLE Electrical License preferred.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule.
