Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking an Electrical Inspector for field-based inspections across multiple sites. You will conduct electrical and fire alarm inspections, ensure compliance with the NEC, NFPA, and Denver Building Code, and issue corrective actions as needed.

This role requires travel to construction sites with a valid Colorado electrician license and a driving record in good standing. The position offers a regular Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional additional hours, and

Qualifications

• Three years of journey level electrician experience.
• High school diploma or GED; Journey Electrician's License required.
• Colorado license required; reciprocity considered.
• Must have valid Driver's License and be willing to drive for field work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical and fire alarm inspections at diverse occupancies.
• Enforce Denver Building Code, NEC, and NFPA standards across inspections.
• Issue corrections/enforcement actions and stop-work orders as needed.
• Review drawings and report inspection results with references.
• Prepare written inspection reports and maintain records.
