Job summary

Job Juncture seeks an Electrical I&E Engineer in Alabama to support plant design and operations, ensuring safe, efficient performance. You will update diagrams, ensure NFPA 70E compliance, and specify preventive and predictive maintenance for PLC, DCS, UPS, and low-voltage systems.

Candidates with 2+ years in chemical manufacturing, RCFA/FMEA experience, and ABET-accredited electrical engineering degrees are preferred. Base salary up to $106,000 with a sign-on bonus and annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum 2 years PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives, motors and power distribution experience.
• RCFA and FMEA, thermography, and motor circuit analysis experience desired.
• Chemical manufacturing experience with PSM preferred.
• Must be in current position minimum 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer in the Maintenance Department.
• Update plant electrical single line diagrams and Arc Flash labeling.
• Act as AHJ for NFPA 70E compliance.
• Specify PMs / PdMs for plant equipment.
• Support PLCs, DCS, UPS, and low/medium voltage systems in daily operations.

Typical Duties / Responsibilities:

Prompt, regular, and dependable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer working for the Maintenance Department.
Maintain Update plant electrical single line diagrams and associated Arc Flash Analysis / Labeling.
Serve as an Authority having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for NPFA 70E compliance.
Specify appropriate Preventive Maintenance (PM's) / Predictive Maintenance (PdMs).
Knowledge of PLCs, Instruments, DCS systems, UPS Systems, and low voltage (< 600 VAC) plant
systems.
Knowledge of DC voltage systems for PLCs, Instruments, DCS systems, UPS systems and other
plant systems.

Provide Maintenance Functional input to new Process Equipment Purchase Specifications to

Qualifications:

Required Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college. Minimum 2 years experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and motors, low and mediumpower distribution, substations, and power distribution equipment (transformers, circuit breakers,cables, etc). Minimum 2 years of experience in Facility Engineering Desired Characteristics: Root CauseFailure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Thermography, andMotor Circuit Analysis.
Prior experience in Chemical Manufacturing with Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred.
Must be in current position minimum of 6 months.
