Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking an Electrical/I&C Design Engineer for the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, TX. The role focuses on engineering evaluations and documentation to support plant modifications and the ownership of those changes through installation and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in electrical and/or I&C systems.
• Experience with plant design changes and corrective action programs is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design qualified engineer in Electrical or I&C systems supporting plant design changes.
• Provide solutions through problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical engineering products: reports, evaluations, and design changes.
• Develop investigations and corrective actions under the Corrective Action Program.
• Perform field walk-downs and interface with other groups to resolve issues.
