Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD, is seeking an Engineer I, Electrical Hardware, to join our hybrid team. You will implement wireless connectivity hardware for professional tools, support the product lifecycle from concept to mass manufacturing, and work with cross‑functional groups to refine designs while building prototypes and documenting performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, hands‑on hardware skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (minimum).
• Familiarity with analog hardware design and troubleshooting, DFMEA, tolerance stack up, and hands‑on failure analysis.
• Digital design experience including microcontroller selection, digital communication protocols, and power budget calculations.
• Board level bring up and troubleshooting with oscilloscope, probes, DMM, spectrum analyzer, VNA and similar equipment.
• Schematic capture and PCB design experience using Altium designer is a plus.
• Circuit simulation with LTSpice or similar is a plus.
• Ability to travel globally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement wireless connectivity hardware for professional power tool products that satisfy end user needs.
• Learn product development milestones from concept through design and mass manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design new products and improve production techniques.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and reports.
• Build and test prototypes with technicians to validate designs.
• Identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues clearly to leaders.
